An important update from me...
A new chapter has begun
Hey team,
Today marks a new chapter for In The Making.
After months of quietly working behind the scenes, the In The Making rebrand is finally here. Same mission. Same Tuesday morning rhythm.
But a sharper look, a clearer vision, and a bigger purpose.
In The Making has far outgrown what it was when I got started.
When I first began writing, it was just me, sat at my laptop, trying to make sense of leadership and how to make it better. And for the first few months, nobody read it.
Take a look at the flatline at the start…
No audience, no grand plan, just the belief that if managers were supported differently, work could feel different.
Now, there are almost 18,000 of you reading every week. Managers and leaders from every corner of the world, all trying to build workplaces where people actually love the work they do.
So we needed a rebrand to reflect that. It had to look like the level of care and thought you bring to your teams every day.

Why the grey suit?
For years, I used to say “the men in the grey suits” when I talked about outdated leadership.
So for this new era of In The Making, I put one on.
Because the problem was never the suit, it was who got to wear it (and who didn’t), and what they used it for.
I didn’t want to always have to be sparkly to stand out.
I wanted to show that strength can be calm and deeply human.
That’s what this new brand stands for.
Sharp. Cinematic. Authoritative without ego. Clarity without coldness.

A note of thanks
In The Making has always been my favourite corner of the internet. When the noise of social media gets fast and scary. Your replies, honesty, and curiosity have built a rare online space of peace and depth for me.
It’s our space where leaders can be human and excellent.
So thank you for being part of it.
For reading, trying, and caring enough to do leadership differently.
Because the best leaders, whether three months or thirty years in, know their growth is never finished.
They’re always In The Making.
